SURFING HOME ON A DEAD GIRL
PSYCHOBILLY NUMBER 1
This record is full of pure genius. It has infected my brain and etched my soul. The latest in the Kings long line of albums, Hell Train Rollin quickly became a classic in my head. If one thing is certain, P. Paul has upped the bar for any would be psychobilly artists and left them in the dust. The lyrics and atmosphere of this album reek with an attitude that I know, no band in the genre can and will ever match. The record feels darker, dirtier and rocks harder than any other new “psychobilly” albums to come out recently.
From the opening track with it’s hammers pounding to the vicious redo of Ain’t Gonna Bring Me Down at the albums end. Every song is in your face, pure psycho rock and roll. The songs all tell a good story, and put you in a mindset that only the KOP can do. You won’t find yourself skipping around, though I tend to play some tracks on repeat.
" Another Day On Fire" is without a doubt my favorite on Hell Train Rollin. Other tracks that stand out are. " Slice By Slice", " Pure Evil" and " They Call Me Creepy", which has its own video as well. The final track, " Psychobilly # 1" is a nice reminder and a fuck you to all the fashionabilly losers, scene elitists and shit talkers. Remember Zorch Law # 1, Only The M3T3ORS Are Pure Psychobilly, and P. Paul Fenech is King.
